In a few hours I'll be flying to Texas. "Baby Doodle" is sure to arrive very soon but glory to God I will be there to witness this new life enter this world; how cool is that!! To see my daughter and son-in-law will be wonderful, too as will getting together with the Country RV crew! Thanks Mom for sacrificing your trip to see me so I can have this trip...XOXOXO!!
I saw Dr. B Friday morning; he told me I am very brave and that he believes I will make a complete recovery but it will take time. When I return from the trip I have 3 appointments to see how far I've progressed. One of these is another PET scan. Originally this wasn't to be done until late January/early Feb but he and Dr. C moved the date up because my recovery is slower than they'd like to see. Dr. B thinks part of it has to do with my age (this usually happens to much younger women) and of course the complications encountered during treatment due to the size/location of my monster. Regardless, they just want to make sure nothing sneaky is going on. Although my blood counts are atrocious the stance for now is 'wait and see' if a bit more time will bring those numbers back to normal; so that means no transfusions for now.
Continue to pray for God's healing touch in my life. Today I got my own cpoies, so when I can I'll post my first PET scan images. When I saw them again I praised God for His loving-kindness because my monster was humongous! To see these PET images I dare anyone to deny the miracle of me even being alive right now.
I'll try to post during my trip but please forgive me if it's a bit quiet in here. Love to you all!

Continuing to cover you in prayer each day. Praising God that you are able to be there for the birth of your grandchild. Say hi to the boys for me and give everyone, including yourself, a hug!
ReplyDeleteGinger, what an exciting time for you and your family. I hope the birth is quick and easy on your daughter and that the baby is healthy and spirited. This is truly a blessing for you and I'm so happy to discover that you were able to visit them. I've been away and am looking forward to catching up with your blog. My prayers are still being said for you.
