So here's the scoop: Being a grandma is wonderful! Freya Sian (frayuh sigh un) arrived Friday, November 20th, at 5:06 pm, 8 lbs 6 oz, 20.5 inches. She and Mommy went through the experience just beautifully. Daddy and I were there the whole time, coaching and holding Mommy; what an honor to be there; what a blessing to be part of the birthing.
My monster did it's best to kill me, so being alive to celebrate this Thanksgiving is such a miracle! My daughter having a medical condition which causes infertility,then having a baby whose name means 'beautiful gift of God' is another miracle! But we have so much to be thankful for even without the baby, even without killing my monster. Yes, even without those we have so many other blessings.
