Just a brief post before I go back to bed as I'm not bouncing back after getting 3 transfusions (my count had dropped to 21 by Saturday morning). I stayed in the hospital Saturday night due to the lab having a very difficult time finding donors to match the new antibodies my body created after getting the previous 13 transfusions and because by then I was really feeling super sick. They finally were able to begin transfusing around 3:30 AM Sunday.
Unfortunately, I'm still feeling really ill; it's almost as if I've not even had the transfusions. It had been October 19th since the last 2 and perhaps the low counts went on too long and it will just take me longer this time to feel better. There does exist the possibility that my bone marrow was damaged from radiation and now I'm just not able to produce enough new blood on my own.(my monster was in the pelvic area which is where the new blood gets manufactured) In any case I see Dr. C on the 16th and until then I am gonna do my best to rest (as if I really am much capable of doing more right now).
Hopefully this is just a minor glitch in my recovery and if not well then let the new battle begin!
