If Today Was Your Last Day

(It's a rocker band, folks but I like the tune and the message)

Saturday was gorgeous and I sat outdoors with a friend. I taught her some basics of Pergamano; she's a quick learner and her first little project turned out great!  A number of you have been my students for various lessons and I always get blessed with really smart pupils; she's another one.

Around 4 PM things began getting ugly, the fever came back; at one point it was nearly 103.  This is scary for me because I've no idea if it's some bug or the monster acting up.  Right now I'm waiting my oncologist to call me back.  Okay, he wants me to go to the ER for a battery of blood/urine tests.  He said if they try to follow through with the implants and I end up spiking more fevers my life might be in jeopardy.  The implants are time release radioactive radiation meant to stay in place for the time set.  Well ladies and gents we've come this far with good results so it's off to the hospital I go talk with ya later!

I've been back from the hospital for about an hour now; my fever broke on the way to the ER so when they took my temp it had dropped to 99.8, yay!  Chest xray, p-test and 2 sets of blood tests revealed basically it's the monster acting up but to be sure they sent me home with an antibiotic.  They also stressed I am to be at the hospital in the morning for the implant surgery.

For right now I am going to take a nap....being sick is exhausting work! Haha!
